Deficit reduction should be reduced by those running for Office.
In this way:
Each dollar donated to an election campaign will be split paying down any deficit on record.
This does two things:
It keeps those that can influence elections helping to pay down the debt.
It keeps election campaign funds clearly offset by deficit reduction.
No disposition of campaign funds needed in a surplus year.
As noted during this last campaign, all too much money was spent on campaigning for one of TWO PEOPLE during an election. While many people of the country are not employed or do not have their basic needs met.
This is a solvable issue.
