reform gun policy

Created by C.R. on April 09, 2015

Gun laws have been a big issue in the last decade. We need a fix. The Administration has looked into gun control and gun rights after the Newton shootings and Ferguson. However new action is needed: We need to create a national law/policy that allows for states to set gun limits within a justifiable range according to the state. Texas and New York may be very different but the federal government can lay a ground work. Below is a general outline to start discussion:

-Title and Tag each gun at point of sale
-make gun training mandatory to have license
-ban magazines with over 60 rounds but make it illegal for states to ban magazines with less than 8 rounds
- reinstate militia; require gun owners to register with it; make it a civil aid organization
- make gun crime punishments harsher
