Reform higher education by forcing public institutions to act like public institutions and not private businesses.

Created by J.A. on November 20, 2012

Too many public institutions are being run more like businesses than public institutions. They are focused too much on making money in order to pay school presidents and board members higher and higher salaries. These public institutions are being subsidized with public funds and yet student loan debt in this country continues to grow.

College athletics should be completely self supporting and players should be paid for their work. They stopped being amateurs when schools start treating sports like business.

Universities should allow competition to determine the price of goods on campuses and not sell exclusive rights to private businesses.

Universities who accept public funds should be forced to keep budgets that keep tuition at a more affordable level.
