When immigration is discussed, illegal immigration is always the central issue at hand. Many people talk about giving illegal immigrants a straight, easy path to citizenship. However, people fail to remember and recognize that there are many legal residents who follow all the laws and adhere to the right, proper, established process of becoming permanent residents and citizens, but that they are ignored and have an endless wait ahead of them. Why should they be penalized for following the law while illegals be rewarded with the opportunity for easy citizenship?
