Those people that have their served time, whether it was a crime they committed or not, should have the right to work, and be treated as a citizen and not permanently labeled as a criminal and a society outcast.
People such as myself, made mistakes when they were young (mid-teens) and suffer the consequences everyday because of that. I have several college degrees and skills that are unwanted because of a criminal record.
After proof that a person has been reformed, abides by the law, and is trouble free for a decent period of time, should be given a second chance at work and opportunities. The federal government needs to limit the information that is available to employers, and the companies that provide the information.
