Reform Medicare and Medicaid Billing Process

Created by S.P. on October 30, 2011

Reform Medicare/Medicaid Billing Process - Ensure Drs do only necessary tests and don't do tests just to get paid (my brother is on medicaid and his Dr's keep doing repeated MRI's, sleep studies, heart caths, etc. but never say whats wrong or never use test results to correct his problems) - Monitor how prescriptions are dispensed so patients aren't sent more medications than they need by pharmacies wanting to collect (when my brother-in-law passed away he had hundreds of bottles of pills unopened, when I asked my sister why she said they just kept coming in the mail and it was too much trouble to make the pharmacies stop sending them because medicare paid for them) - Ensure costs aren't excessive (my mother was billed $700 for a pair of diabetic shoes - medicare paid $700 for sneakers
