Stop trying to simply raise the minimum wage as that isn’t the complete problem, nor the complete solution. Instead reform minimum wage to work differently. change the way it works and revise it so that it helps small business and forces larger companies to pay their employees fairly. Make the minimum wage a variable, determined by how much money a particular company earns per quarter, or per year, or per month, any would work. The basic idea is companies that make more, should pay more. This would help small businesses, and help larger companies pay fairly, because no company needs to make astronomical profits and still pay the bare minimum to their employees.
