Currently the national lottery games Powerball and MegaMillions are tuned to build huge jackpots quickly and pay out to only one or a few winners obscene amounts of money.
This petition is to reform the games to limit the maximum win-able jackpot to $10,000,000. As well the odds for winning should be improved by reducing the "white ball" numbers from 59 to 50 and the "powerball" numbers from 35 to 30. This would increase the number of winners while still allowing those winners to gain a life changing fortune. Should the jackpot again reach epic sizes like the recent $600,000,000 it would be divided 60 ways instead of 1 winner taking it all and likely spending most of it outside the US. Smaller jackpots are much more likely stay in the States and stimulate economies.
