Reform the nation's policies on the declaration of war and who may be drafted.

Created by J.T. on February 01, 2014

We, the people of the United States, believe that congress alone should not have the power to declare war upon another country. We believe that congress must petition a vote amongst the people for whether or not we as a country should go to war. We believe that the vote should determine the draft should such a war be voted for. Should a person vote for war, his or her name should be entered for the draft- not a citizen who doesn't believe the war is just. We feel that for too long the powerful have created war, forcing the less powerful or less wealthy to fight and die under them for a cause they don't necessarily believe in. We feel that this is just and would help combat both the corruption in and the haste to go to war, as well as save those from fighting for an unjust cause.
