Reform the nation's welfare system, including food stamps, as to curve abuse and fraud and implement a repayment system

Created by J.G. on November 14, 2012

Fraudulent abuse of the welfare system, including the use of food stamps and government paychecks funded by American taxpayers, is a problem in America. I recommend a reform of the welfare system to include:

-An enforcement of each state to adhere to a list of approved items that can be purchased using food stamps, such as necessisities including milk, bread, eggs, lunch meats, vegetables, fruit, etc.

-A repayment system for those on welfare after they have found a job and an enforcement of this by each state.

-A time limit in place to prevent people from continuing to be on welfare when they are not in need of it.

-A limit on what can or cannot be purchased with government-assisted money and an enforcement by each state.

-Stricter regulations to curb abuse and fraud.
