Reform the No Child Left Behind Act.

Created by D.M. on February 23, 2014

Teachers focus on what the test requires of the student. Their job is linked to how well the student performs on the standardized tests. With that being said, teachers strive to make sure their students pass the tests. This limits the creativity and uniqueness inside the classroom. All students are held to the same standard expected by the school. Language barriers may cause a decrease in high test scores which causes the school itself to be classified as a lower performing school. Due to a strong focus in the core classes such as Math and English, there is less time devoted to Arts such as Music, Practical Arts, etc. Physical Education has been ignored as well. Our education policy needs to focus on all of these subjects to complete a well rounded education policy. Reform the NCLB. Thanks
