Reform or Remove the Electoral College System. Allowing for more political parties and different voices to be heard.

Created by G.E. on November 12, 2012

The current electoral college system does not work. Because of the Electoral College, there is a unfair distribution of voting. This imbalance is shown with smaller state being given more electors because of fear of political bias (this has failed). The winner of the presidency is usually through minority vote. While voter turn out may be large, the actual decision is determined by small areas of isolated key states. So, in fact, a minority of 25 million choose the president when over 100 million voted. In the event of a draw of electoral votes, the House would elect and partisan rivalries would control who won instead o the people. Third parties are impossible and therefore require the people to abstain from voting or choose the "lesser of two evils" 3rd Parties dont get electoral votes
