Reform our education system to teach basic life skills as a requirement for high school graduation.

Created by D.R. on April 24, 2013

Our current education system is geared to prepare graduates for college. While this should still be encouraged, many students are graduating lacking basic life skills. Graduating seniors need to understand what will be expected of them as adults in our society. some examples are, real life budgeting, effects of interest in real life situations, parenting skills for both parents, what skills are needed in local area.
Each student should also be able to read and write simple contracts so that they don't simply sign when one is presented to them.
