Reform our electoral system.

Created by T.M. on November 11, 2012

Our current electoral system is an embarrassment in the world, and badly needs reform. First of all we need to adapt a system similar to England's or Australia's. We must limit the time allowed for campaigns to approximately 2 months. Campaign funds should be limited to, for example, $ one million per candidate. Election day should be moved to a more temperate time of year, such as June or July. State election rules should not be allowed change after 90 days before an election to allow voters to adapt to them. States must be required to make available to voters sufficient locations, time and materials to accommodate their numbers.
