This month of Dec.2011 congress changed the Pell Grant against students. It has
-reduced payments from 18semesters to 12 semesters
-Made the minimum your family can make to recieve ANYTHING from 30k down to 23k.
-Will cut much grant funding to students
-reduce payments to many of students
This is at the same time schools have increased tuition three fold in the last 20 years. I can no longer afford to go to school with the recent cuts.
This will not only make America not be able to compete in education with other countries, but it will force the country to be wage slaves and have a negative effect on the economy. Funding for the Pell Grant can no longer be seen as "welfare" but should be seen as a proven good investment.
