The online petition process must be reformed. What's to stop anybody from signing a petition, then getting on a new email address and/or IP address and signing that same petition again, under a different name? Also, I just signed a petition to allow Illinois to secede from the union (just to see if I could) and I'm from MICHIGAN. Individual sections of petitions could be created for each state and be accessible to only members of that state, as well as a national petition section accessible to everyone. This would help to ensure the legitimacy of any petition with 25,000+ signatures that are to be addressed by the Obama administration.
