In light of the recently reported acts of police brutality at the Occupy Wall Street protest, we the people propose that the police force be reformed.
People should not be afraid of policemen. Policemen are there to serve us, and they should be trained to do so. We demand that an intelligence test be required so that not any brute can be given a gun and a badge by the state.
Also, if someone wants to obtain all the power that can be given to them by the government, they must sign an agreement that states if they commit a very extreme abuse of power, their life becomes forfeit. This provision would act as a deterrent to prevent thugs who sign onto the police force with the sole purpose of abusing their power.
Extreme abuses of power would be defined as unnecessary intentional murder.
