For over a year leading up to the presidential election, the American people are bombarded with tv ads, debates and never ending media coverage. This media coverage has become somewhat of a three ring circus.
The government needs to step in to ensure that the falsities being portrayed in both debates and advertisements are kept to a minimum. All debates should be fact checked before being broadcast and experts in given fields like climate change, international relations, etc. should be on hand to correct or answer questions the moderator might have, giving the public a chance to actually see the truth behind a politicians stance.
