Seeing as the United States has internet service far below the standards set in other developed nations, ISPs have failed to use their massive profits to increase coverage range and update their infrastructure, High Speed internet access at home is a requirement for many well paying jobs, failure by ISPs to provide coverage hinders rural development, and consumer protection/usury laws create a precedent,
the people ask the White house and our elected officials take the following immediate action:
High Speed Internet access, with at least 5mbps down and 2mbps up, must be provided to all residences that receive electricity, at a reasonable price and with installation fees paid by nearest qualified ISP. Bandwidth and usage caps should also be made illegal for access at fixed locations.
