Senators and Representatives are both employees of our government, which by extension, makes them employees of the people. However, my employees, and the employees of many other states, are corrupt, and somehow have the ability to vote on their own raises. This is a ridiculous situation. Who is allowed to give themselves a raise outside of the government?
Therefore, I petition that all members of Congress must have any proposed raise to their pay voted upon and approved by their constituents. This would ensure that they are being rewarded for doing their job, which is actually SERVING the people that put them in power.
