reform Social Security for the well being of young Americans

Created by M.R. on January 24, 2013

Social Security is a generational redistribution system. The money we give from payroll tax is given directly back out to today’s seniors and the disabled. The trust fund is expected to be officially depleted in 2037. We will have benefits reduced. Initiative to reduce benefits that are promised today to bring the system into better balance should be taken. Policymakers should allow young workers to save a portion of their payroll taxes to fund individual accounts that will be their property throughout their lives so we do not get the bad end of the deal and never see the money in our future that we so generously give and WORK HARD FOR!
