Reform the system which doctors use to track patient information to save lives.

Created by C.A. on September 25, 2011

The system by which doctors record information varies between regions and practices, so different types of medical professionals don't have access to all of the information on their patient. If a patient is in a car accident in another state, they should have a national system which identifies all pertinent medical conditions which the patient has, easily accessible by a system such as a bar code on their drivers license.

It would also help to coordinate between regular doctors and different medical professionals, so they all know what has been prescribed to their patient and what tests they have taken, as well of the results of those tests. This would help to reduce waste of patients' blood, or prescribing drugs patients are already on, making health care safer and more efficient.
