reform the tax policy to a territorial-based taxation policy.

Created by D.M. on March 27, 2013

Millions of Americans live overseas and are forced to file IRS tax returns. The only developed country to do so, the United States currently taxes its citizens regardless as to whether or not they are resident in America. To pay taxes to a government without reaping its benefits is the basis for this country's independence. Allowing for more people to establish connections worldwide without tax burdens will strengthen the global and U.S. economies. Expatriates do not drive on our roads, send kids to our schools, and our not defended by our military. To burden them with taxes similar to those resident in America goes against the very principle on which our founding fathers based our independence.
