The United States Postal Service needs to be reformed to guarantee that every package is delivered in a professional and timely manner. The United States Postal Service needs to acknowledge the loss of letters and packages regardless of whether insurance was purchased or not. If a letter or package has a tracking number, is certified mail, or mail with delivery confirmation, the postal service should have a better system in place to ensure that it is in fact delivered to the recipient. A better system could include signature forms or scannable barcodes inside mailboxes. The postal service should ensure a full refund to the customer if a parcel is not successfully delivered. In addition, the postal service needs to ensure packages and letters are delivered within the time frame.
