Reform USCIS I-864 to protect spouses who sponsor alien spouses who abandon households upon getting a 10 year green card

The Lonely Heart marriage scam is a marriage fraud crime that leaves victims abandoned, hurt, and exposed to financial exploitation by a sponsored alien who pretends to marry for love. Current law concerning a citizen or lawful resident's sponsorship of an alien spouse, does not place reasonable safeguards to limit a sponsoring spouse's liability in the event an alien spouse uses them for immigration benefits, performs marital misconduct resulting in an at-fault divorce, and/or abandoned their families and households upon issuance of a 10 year green card. Please reform the USCIS I-864 Affidavit of Support and the spousal sponsorship program to create protections for wives and husbands who sponsor alien spouses who abandoned household and family upon issuance of a 10 year green card
