reform the way that universities handle financial aid.

Created by J.N. on November 14, 2012

Financial aid for most students is a necessity, be it scholarships, student loans, or grants. Educational institutions should be required to inform their students of any outstanding debt that will not be covered by their financial aid prior to classes for that term starting.

As it stands, students can be enrolled in a program and be taking classes and then all the sudden start receiving a bill from the university without any prior notice because their financial aid for that term ran out.

This practice is harmful to our educational system, and it is harmful to the people who are trying to get an education to help our nation prosper.
