Welfare abuse is out of control in this country. Welfare should not be a career for an able-bodied person who chooses to scam the system rather than contribute to it. Welfare is necessary at times, but should not be a long-term solution. I find it unsettling and unfair that I have to go to work every day to pay for people who have no interested in working for or taking care of themselves. People should not be financially for having additional children which they cannot take care of. Every time I go to the store, I see people who are better dressed than myself and have better phones than myself paying for food with LINK cards. There should be time limits on welfare. There should also be much more money spent scrutinizing and monitoring welfare which may curtail welfare professionals.
