Reformat the "We The People" petition style format to an official, open, poll-style vote on the issue itself.

Created by J.D. on January 16, 2012

This idea is genius but many individuals feel no one (You) have taken this seriously. Majority of the responses given, either do not address the issue at hand or are labeled "Why we cannot comment". You should either take down the site or start listening. We elect officials to act in our best interest, not to tell us what our best interests are.

Instead of having individual petitions, allow an open, poll-style vote on laws and current policies. When a subject area has reached an agreed upon sample size contradicting current policies/laws/etc., no response is needed. It should be submitted back to the people for a formal vote.

This is democracy. We submit petitions for change, not for jaded explanations on why it is what it is. You owe us that, because that is exactly what we pay for.
