Copyrights/Patents hurt our economy and prevent/hinder people from coming up with new innovative ideas. People who come up with the ideas for the copyright do not benefit from copyrights as the corporations they work for hold the copyrights.
"The Congress shall have the power ... To Promote the Progress of Science and the useful Arts by securing for limited times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries."
The optimal solution is to remove copyright laws from out society as all they do is damage it. Restoring the laws to their initial intent, however, of "limited times" and only for "Authors and Inventors" would greatly reduce the damage caused with the current copyright system to our economy.
