In order to protect the freedoms of law abiding citizens, the government should refrain from banning military style rifles and high capacity magazines. When the 2nd amendment was added to the constitution, it was from fear of a tyrannical government and others that would wish to do you or your family harm. It was added in case our government ever sought to turn on its people, the people could defend themselves. We have already given up the ability to own new fully automatic firearms that the military is privy to. If we now tighten the restrictions on people who have committed no crime, have obtained these items legally, and have obeyed all regulations we will limit they're freedoms and potentially endanger them. Not to mention the sport and entertainment people derive from them. Thank you.
