We ask of our government to exercise restraint and avoid any hasty over reactions which will substantially injure the rights of the citizens of our dear nation in the long term. To say that gun violence in the United States is a problem is an understatement. The problem is criminals who get their hands on illegal guns with the sole intent to cause harm to another. Restricting law abiding citizens from owning legal firearms will not aid in our efforts to control gun violence in our nation.
