Refrain from killing me without judicial review.

Created by E.T. on February 08, 2013

The Obama Administration has assassinated US citizens abroad (e.g. Anwar al-Awlaki) under accusation of being members of al Qaida. There was no trial to establish guilt. What is known of the powers asserted by the Executive from the recently revealed white paper is that the decision to kill a US citizen can be made and enacted without judicial review of any kind. I do not know if an accused terrorist shares my name. I do not know where the Kevin Bacon-esque "associated force" chain ends. I do not know if I am standing next to an accused terrorist at a bus stop or sharing a cab with one. I don't even know if the accusation is true. Please do not kill me or anyone else without first submitting evidence of guilt for adversarial judicial review.
