The goal of this petition is to urge the Obama administration to refrain from any and all military or financial support to organizations or groups who are currently engaged in the armed conflict in Syria, whether they be considered the Syrian Opposition or Syrian government.
The Syrian opposition is composed of enemies of the United States, Hamas and Al-Qaeda being the most belligerent aggressors against American interests. Arming and supporting these organizations could have disastrous effects against the American people, as they did following our intervention with the Mujahideen's conflict with the Soviet Union in the 80's.
According to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, only 9% of Americans support intervention in the Syrian civil war. The majority does not wan't another protracted war.
