Refrain from using force against Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian people.

Created by N.L. on August 27, 2013

Military intervention in Syria would lead to irreversible international repercussions. It is unclear whether it was Assad or the Rebel army that used chemical weapons, and military intervention should be prohibited unless this Administration consults with Congress and receives a mandate from the United Nations.

Military actions masked with "humanitarian" reasons would set up for war with Iran. It is well known that Syria has a defense treaty with Iran, and both have publicly stated if the US attacks it will retaliate on Israel.
