The federal government wastes or loses hundreds of billions of dollars a year on military spending, space exploration, corporate and social welfare, employee fraud and abuse. The latest being a failed $500 million loan to an alternative energy company that is now out of business. The Army lost $360 million to insurgents in Afghanistan and $9 billion in cash lost in Iraq and another $23 billion lost to contractors. NASA just cancelled the James Webb Space Telescope after years of mismangement at a cost of $6.5 billion of taxpayer money. Any money the federal government loses or wastes must be returned to the citizens forced to finance these failures with interest and with the governments sincerist apologies. Anything less is a blatant disregard for the rights of taxpayers.
