Afghan President Hamid Karzai's recent demands to no longer carry out military operations or airstrikes and jump-start peace talks with the Taliban before his country signs a security deal to keep US troops in Afghanistan is only placing our forces in danger. They will be put in a position of not being able to properly defend themselves, and this will only add to the current 2308 US casualties so far. Peace talks are very likely to be negotiating talks with the Taliban, and that should not be allowed. Our country has lost too many lives and too much money to be in a country that does not want us to defend ourselves. Any agreement should be on our terms, not the terms of terrorists.
