Refuse the permit to build the Keystone XL pipeline.

Created by M.M. on May 01, 2013

The Keystone pipeline had 12 spills in first year. Now the same company wants to build the Keystone XL without learning from the past. Tar sand oil is crushed up oily rock under high pressure and it goes thru the pipe like high pressure sandpaper. It's not at all like the normal oil that goes thru the trans-Alaska pipeline, it will rub right thru the pipes especially at the many turns along the 2147 mile pipeline. A small pipe of this stuff broke in Arkansas and the only thing people affected could do was leave their homes. This pipeline will travel over huge fresh water supplies and it will only be a matter of time until it pollutes them. They do not have the technology to do this safely.
