Between 2001 and 2013, there were 151,144 gun-related homicides in the United States. To put that in perspective, 3,380 people were killed by terrorists during that time. The NRA promotes the right to bear arms for people on terrorist watch lists and does not support President Obama's executive order which would expand background checks on gun purchases and NOT take guns away from law abiding citizens. If the NRA were to stop spreading lies about guns to citizens and stop paying members of Congress to block all gun legislation proposed by the Obama Administration, many innocent lives would be saved. A simple acknowledgement that the NRA is a terrorist organization that has played a major role in putting guns in the wrong hands would send a big message.
