Countries such as Germany have categorized such symbols as the "use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations" and deemed them illegal. Both of these symbols represent the desire for racial supremacy, genocide and slavery. Regardless of other implications these symbols may carry (such as states rights), their dark pasts are irrevocably and inseparably woven into their identities. These symbols are used to invoke terror, unite hate, and mock the pain of victims. There is no room in our country for such symbols. Hate and bigotry are powerful enough. We need not give them their own flags.
