Legalize and regulate online poker here in the United States so that Americans can play for real money from the comfort of their own homes. Doing so will create taxable income from both the players and the poker rooms, as well as create jobs that are desperately needed across our country.
The fact that the United States, the beacon of freedom and democracy for the world, continues to keep this right from the American people is a travesty. Canada, Europe, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Korea and even China (a communist country) allow their citizens to play online poker for money.
U.S. poker players should not have to leave the country to play online. Make it legal, regulate it and tax us on our winnings.
