Regulate and limit Corporate influence on Government decisions.

Created by A.F. on December 27, 2011

As lobbying is a First Amendment right, the process needs to be limited and regulated. Corporate lobbying has influenced the American Government to represent the needs of few, rather than the needs of many; a primary example being SOPA. Our country was founded on Democratic values that allowed its citizens to be heard. In this day and age, our Government has ONLY listened to citizens in power, rather than the masses when it comes to legislation. For example, corporate influence suggests that Coca-Cola and/or fast food is healthier for the body than the illegal substance Marijuana. The Government has listened to lobbyists of profit-hungry corporations over the voice of the majority of American citizens for far too long, and as a result, the Government no longer represents its citizens.
