The mass production of phone books are a waste of natural resources and must be ceased.
Regardless who is paying for them, or how much revenue they generate with ad placement, the fact of the matter is they are printed on paper and left on doors unwanted just to be thrown into the trash, often without even being removed from the plastic wrapping. This is a complete waste and we must put and end to it.
While the phonebook is still valuable in areas and households where internet access is limited the mass production of the phonebook must be regulated and only produced in areas where a need is present and delivered to those who ask for it.
Above all else, no matter how seemingly harmless the production of the phone book is, the amount of paper being wasted on them is egregious.
