Regulate and minimize extensive media coverage of crimes that attract copycats

Created by D.M. on June 12, 2014

In the wake of recent school shootings please understand that these events can be lessened due to less media coverage. When the media covers these events it entices other youth to show their dismay through the same antic. These students are made 'famous' through these acts and encourages others to do the same in order to become headliners.

Let us not forget the victims but not immortalize those who committed the crime. Media coverage has a major impact on our youth and showing them that this type of horrific act does not make them famous will hopefully stop others from following in their footsteps.
