Psychologist Robert Leahy points out: "The average high school kid today has the same level of anxiety as the average psychiatric patient in the early 1950s." This is a surprising comparison to make, especially in 2015, when technology is believed to have eased everything around us, including education. But why on earth would Leahy compare a bunch of teenagers to a psychiatric patient?
in a 120 hour week, 35 hours are spent at school, and another 20 hours are spent on homework by the average students. But what of students with AP classes, or sports, or extracurricular activities, or even jobs? There should be an agreed quota on homework by students and teachers that cannot be exceeded. Our world does not revolve around one subject!
