Regulate and simplify the prescription offerings under Plan D of Medicare.

Created by S.L. on December 05, 2012

The Government should regulate insurance companies offering prescription drug plans under Medicare Part D, with the intent of eliminating arbitrary classifications of drugs, ergo: Preferred and Non Preferred, Formulary and Non Formulary. This should be done in order to provide fair, and comprehend-able information to the consumer,.

Such regulation would seek to enable Medicare Beneficiaries to make intelligent decisions and be able to make accurate comparisons between the offerings of different insurance companies, When the insurance products are the same it will be possible to intelligently choose between them based on price, and record of service, something which is currently impossible to do.
