Regulate business practices that prey upon those affected by hardship and suffering from poverty.

Created by S.P. on December 15, 2015

Practices are in place throughout the United States that are targeted at people of lower economic standing. These business practices are counter productive, inflict greater hardships on the less fortunate, discriminate against the poor, and are wholly unethical. The fore-mentioned practices include; fines for not being able to afford registration/inspection of motor vehicles, late fees for having no ability to pay utilities, bank over-draft and minimum balance/minimum direct deposit fees, "pay cards" from employers for employees who choose not to use a bank account (these cards charge percentage fees to holders for using the money), etc. We call upon the government to regulate these practices so those living in hardship will no longer be the target of abuse.
