American Communications Monopolies need to be regulated and monitored. Companies often use teaser monthly rates designed to lure the unsuspecting consumers into complicated binding contracts (often containing other hidden fees). After the consumer has signed up, the teaser rate often skyrockets and the unaware consumer becomes a victim of price gauging. This petition seeks to stop such deceptive practices which prey on the most vulnerable in our society. Contracts need to be simplified with no hidden fees and in type that ALL can read (including senior citizens).
