regulate care and population control to save millions of cats and dogs from being euthanized.

Created by M.D. on September 27, 2013

We need you to take swift action in reform and regulated population control. Spaying and neutering in animal shelters would make pets more affordable and adoptable during this economy and population crisis. I propose a 2 year ban on breeding and pet store sales. Then stores and breeders should be required to obtain licenses and those fees should be used to co fund our shelters. All pets should be required to have microchips! Pet stores should have microchips that link to their store as well as who the pet is adopted to, same for breeders, rescues and shelters. This will help us better realize where changes need to be made. It would only take a few years of stiff regulation and observation to reduce the population and balance the system.
