Regulate the chemical Oxybenzone (aka benzophenone-3), which has been shown to be damaging to coral reefs.

The purpose of this petition is to request President Obama to direct the FDA to mandate warning labels on sunscreen containing Oxybenzone. The chemical oxybenzone, also known as benzophenone-3, is a common ingredient in sunscreen lotion used to block UV rays; it is used in about half of all sunscreens. However, a recent study from an international team of scientists concluded that Oxybenzone causes bleaching and severe damage to coral reefs. With coral reefs around the world in decline, we need to take action to save the reefs that remain!
