In some states in our union, the local state governments such as the state of Georgia, have made criminal background checks for employers go back indefinitely. To deny someone the right to work for something they may or may not have committed over 10 years ago, is in our opinion unjust. There needs to be a federal provision, and a set time limit, a person who has not committed a crime in 10-12 years is not a criminal, and there is no need to go beyond that point, except for jobs involving government, and education. Ppl make mistakes, and they learn from them, and you shouldnt continue to punish someone, who is trying to do the right thing. It infringes on their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It takes away, and limits a person freedom.
